Renal Cysts, Simple and Complex
Case 1 and Case 2 are examples of Simple Renal Cysts. Review both cases and answer the following questions:
- Which cysts are cortical and which cysts are subcortical in location.
- What are the features to describe a simple cyst?
Review cases 3 and 4:
- What are findings suggesting complex cysts in these examples?
- What are the imaging features of a complex cyst in general that require further evaluation?
- What imaging modality should we offer to further characterize suspicious complex renal cysts/masses.
